*For those not up on their 2-year-old Shadespire meta lore, these guys were never a particularly strong warband (their absolute beast of a leader notwithstanding) but one of the universal cards in their pack was kiiinda overpowered (narrator: it was extremely overpowered), so everyone bought the set just for that card but never used the poor angry dorfs.
Me when starting Underworlds: "I will never buy a warband for a single card, who even does that."

Me a few weeks later: "Ready for Action is where? Right, one box of Fyreslayers, please."

They're looking right cracking, Dave. As is Primarch's demon. Hopefully one day we can make them fight :)

@Dave- Stuntie power! Look at the crest and plumes on those guys. Suck it panzeez! I have a box of the Avatars of War slayers. Been meaning to do some up as Chaos Dwarves for my Frostgrave warband.

As any proper pointy-eared topknot-bearer knows, those are not proper crests or plumes, due to the measurable lack of swoosh. Those beards, however, are glorious.

Looking good! Are those flags just on paper, or foil?

I finished up the Farstriders this morning:

And man, I wish I'd found contrast paints before doing 1000 points of yellow and black stormcast the traditional way. Once I finish repainting the Reavers I'll now have all the currently released warbands owned and painted, woo hoo!

The Stars and Stripes were printed at home on standard paper. The other two flags came in the boxes and are a high gloss, thick paper.

Wow, how did you do that, Dave? I'd be interested to know the paints in case I need to do cheap knockoffs of those Scythes in order to bolster their half of a soup with Wolves.

I know I'm supposed to be painting things but the gluing alone on Sisters is taking forever, and there's so much more to do 😅 also deeply unsure how I'm going to get this to Higashi Betsuin even if it does get painted.

Pre-shading: Gray seer spray, basically-thinned-down-Nuln-Oil wash, white drybrush.
Then just the straight Contrasts - Black Templar and Iyanden Yellow.

They yellow is definitely a lot more lemon-y and less rich side by side with the way I traditionally painted it, but good enough for government work as they say.

I also quickly repainted Garrek's Reavers yesterday:

(And friends, let me tell you, Basilicanum Gray is the business. Works great for shading metals, makes a fantastic stubble effect, and of course anything that's actually gray  It's the new magic sauce, I think.)

Leaving me with very little lined up, as I too-successfully annihilated my backlog over the past couple months. Iron Golems and titans, basically.

Oh boy, that terrain piece awesome and like a total pain to store/transport. The only logical way would be to wear it as a hat obviously.

Dave, you probably have enough Chaos AoS models to run a grand alliance chaos army at this point right? Maybe if you had a few HQ units? Either way, even taking quality into account, your hobby output is seriously nuts.

On the other hand, since I finished with AI for now, I went back to painting Tau and boy do I have a lot on my plate. I mostly got through my newest Fire warriors but its not like my older ones are complete and I still have all my Pathfinders and Stealthsuits which are totally unpainted. And that's just infantry. Anyway, progress has been better since I've been using my airbrush and Contrast paints (black pants that aren't pure black) to cut corners.

Probably not for AoS, no - there's only like 6 Chaos warbands in Underworlds so far, 7 if you reach and count the Skaven, and each is roundabouts 150-200 points in AoS. I do think I'm pretty close to a Khorne warband for WarCry, though, so there's that.
