Ooh, marvellous. Let me dig up a list of stuff I have that I’d be happy to trade for it. Do you have any preferred colours or card types or anything?

Anything prior to Ixalan would be preferable. No particular requests for colours though.

Spoilers for Ikoria are starting to show up, including some interesting alternative cards...

I need a bit of thinking time to process them properly, but my first reactions are : me no likey Gojira. I have no issues with the big mook personally, but he can stay the hell away from my MtG. I appreciate it’s just a renamed promo card, but I’m not a fan of crossing the streams, even to that extent. Now, slap a silver border on that bad boy, and I’d be fine with it, but I like to keep my serious face on when I play black border.

I’m also not sure about the keyword tokens. Having played more than a few fantasy flight games, I can envision how that shit can get out of hand real fast. It’ll be fine in Arena, but irl will be tricksy to keep tabs on, wee tokeny things or not.

The kinda-meld mechanic is kind of interesting. Could be fun. Might make some weird shit happen when you do it to creatures not in that set.

The deck-building affecting cards I do not like at all. I suspect I feel the same way about it as you do about minmaxing 40k armies for command points and army wide USRs.

Also, I’d be super happy if they would reprint craterhoof behemoth in this set. That card is too damn expensive.

For the gravecrawler, I’ll have a look through my Shadows over Innistrad and Lorwyn block stuff. Should have a fair amount of tradeable value in there. I’ll make a list of things of interest and let you know :) I assume English is preferable, but if I have a good card in Japanese, are you interested in such things at all?

I like the Godzilla artwork, but I'm not sure if I'll be using it. It's like the MLP card sleeves they did for charity a while back, or some of the super-cutesy Secret Lair artwork (Leonin Warleader anyone?), it will appeal to some, but will be a turnoff to others. As I guess I'll be getting the Arena pre-order, I willl also recieve the alt-art upgrades.

The set does seem to have a fair number of new Commander options which is good. Dinosaur Hippo tribal looks viable  . The companion thing I may well pass on, though it looks like a harsh restriction in some cases.

I would really prefer English on any traded cards if you don't mind. It makes things much easier if I don't have to look things up mid-game.

I ordered a bundle box of Ikoria, and will get a couple of single packs once they’re on sale, so’s I can play sealed against someone. Assuming we’re not all self isolating by that point, I suppose

I started typing out a list of what I had for trade, but it got stupid long. Baaaaasically, I have duplicates of most everything at rare or higher for Shadows over Innistrad, Eldritch Moon, Lorwyn, Morningtide, Shadowmoor and Eventide. Probably also uncommons, if you prefer. However, it’s a bit patchy in some cases. But those cases are fewer than the ones I do have duplicates of, so it’s more efficient for you to say “do you have XYZ” and then have me look for it, than for me to list up everything. So, have at, old bean. FWIW, the more expensive a card is, the more likely I only have the one copy of it.

I'm doing my best at self-isolating at the moment. Unfortunately I still have to ride on a crowded train to get to work, but aside from that and the weekly shopping, I am avoiding going out. No restaurants, cinema or gaming.

Any chance you have a Voldaren Pariah from Eldritch Moon spare? It's a black vampire that flips into an Eldrazi called Abolisher of Bloodlines. It looks like it would fit into my Anje Falkenwrath EDH deck.

Foil or nonfoil, sir? And would sir perhaps like a Falkenrath Gorger to accompany that? Gives all the vampires in one’s deck a touch of madness. Very useful, were one inclined to go down that road 🧐/jeeves

Non-foil is fine thanks. What are you looking for in return for the Gorger?

Meh, I’m happy to throw the Gorger in as a freebie. You’re doing me a favor by trading the gravecrawler at all, so I’m indebted to you, old bean :)

That said, I do have a buttload of stuff I’d be happy to trade with, if you fancy that kind of shenanigans. The trick will be letting each other know what cards we each have available. Would it be worth our while making up “possibly potentially trade-ables” lists on some kind of deck-buildy website to facilitate such activity? Im keen, as turning unused bricks in a box into useable cards is certainly appealing to me, but I do understand that it could get a bit mendokusai, depending on quantity (and useability of aforementioned websites, which I haven’t really looked into). What do you reckon?
