Day 21 of quarantine, Roll20 do be looking pretty good.
Re: Day 21 of quarantine, Roll20 do be looking pretty good.
@jus, I'm on board with that story but from that introduction I'm not sure where the players come in exactly. Maybe some more information during character creation could help tie in the player characters to the story.
@ToD Roll20 should work on a tablet too. If its difficult to do something like moving your character on using it, you could have someone else move you character or something. I'm pretty sure we can figure something out if you're interested.

If you're looking for story ideas there are a bunch of missions available in the old Fantasy Flight Games RPG books. (Rogue Trader, Dark Heresy, Deathwatch etc). As they are now out of print, you should be able to find them online as pdf's and not feel guilty about downloading them. They will need sone converting to the Wrath and Glory system, but they should provide some good plots to work with.

@Karantu: hmm good point, we should talk about that. I'm thinking players all start in the mess hall of the ship and are subsequently introduced to the setting and noteworthy characters. Something junior officer and higher would allow for better access to personnel.
@prim: Yes! FFG lore is rich. like a rich french chocolate gateau. You bite into it and say " mm damn that's rich. I especially like the koronus reach setting and will be poring over the old tomes for ideas. They have lots of established rules for xenos and psychic powers etc. that compared to the relatively new (and rules sparse) wrath and glory system is alot more fleshed out. Incidentally ....join us!

I'm actually quite interested in joining, but I'm already deeply involved in a D&D campaign here in Tsu just now (over Discord, now that Zoom is charging/cutting us off at 40mins
). Roll20 is really useful, and we use that, too. Anyway, I can't commit to two campaigns in two playgroups - I just aint got the time. But, seeing as how we're moving into a brave new world filled with online RPGing for the foreseeable future, maybe next time?

Hmm, I do have a tablet - what day(s) and time(s) were you thinking? My availability can be a bit flaky depending on what the fambly's up to. (Also I only have the 1st edition book.)
Feel free to call me Dave!

It would be cool if we could do character creation and kick off a campaign during golden week and then have regular sessions depending on what everyone's schedules are like.
Personally, after golden week I'm not going to have time on weekdays but anytime during the weekend should be fine.

Looks like you can do a Sister of Battle at Tier 2 so I guess I'm in!
I too am in a D&D game and twice weekly nihongo classes during the week, so weekends do sound better. I expect timing will get sticky when things are back to normal but who the hell knows when that will be.

@jye: hey yeah a battle sister could work!
Sorry, having just moved house and with the while golden week plus corona Situation, I won't have internet until the 21st apparently. But feel free to discuss any ideas you think would be cool.

Sort of off-topic but would you(or anyone else) be interested in trying out a game of AoS on Vassal or Tabletop simulator? AoS would probably work better since its a bit simpler than 40k and there's less verticality to worry about.
