Everyone's stuff is looking great and so plentiful! I'll be relying on your progress to implicitly shame me into not giving up :lol:

Wave 1 of Sisters, with some hangers on, mostly done.

"Mostly" because I ran out of Astrogranite so a few of the bases are not done, because I intended to add the BSF Crusader and Psyker but didn't have a colour scheme and abandoned them halfway, and because the Triumph, four Mortifiers and three Exorcists are still primed but untouched by the brush.

They, and the now primed entirety of wave 2, will have to wait though. I have Skaven and Stormcast for Warcry (which I will actually play earlier and more often), and a healthy selection of Space Wolves who will probably kick off 9th edition when we're all able to play again.

@Jye The Sisters are coming up great. Textured bases always get better with a wash + drybrush so that could help the Astrogranite look less flat.

For some reason I find painting terrain easier to get around to than painting miniatures. Maybe since its more or less made of junk so I don't need to worry about ruining it. Anyway ,I managed to get enough done for a small installation. With some add-ons like barricades, ladders, and stairs it should make for pretty decent terrain for both 40k and kill team.

I didn't even think of washing the bases, was just going to dump snow on them later (and tbh trying to pivot entirely to sculpted bases).

Would just some nuln oil do the trick?

Some nuln oil is always the trick, for everything. (In the bases' case, maybe even follow up with a super-light drybrush of light gray or white too, just to make it pop a bit.)

Today I finished painting my English Civil War Period project. 2013 - 2020. It's all over bar getting all the models on the table.
Here's the Pike and Shotte infantry for the Royalists. Thank goodness. :)

@Jye - You're making progress, keep working on them bit by bit and you'll have a full army done in no time.

@Karantu - Nice walkways. Though walkways to where? Now you need bastions, ammo dumps, factories and repair bays to connect using those gantries.

@Ashdevon - Congratulations on a successful project.

Thanks. I get to add flags today to the troops. Always a good feeling after having completed a unit or two. Got some new glue arriving to assemble the painted Parliamentarians as well as the church and some new spray varnish from Windsor and Newton. The grown up stuff. Oh and the Dragoons are due to arrive any day now, glad to have cleared some backlog for the bench. :geek: :)
