The evil chap is very Guillermo del Toro. Looking forward to this.

Very! BSF was a lot of fun, so I imagine this'll be an easy pickup for me.

Warhammer Quest could be fun depending on how they do the rules. The baddie looks very old-school horror movie killer-esque which is great. Since it has a solo mode I might end up getting it too if the rules and the rest of the models seem worth it.

In summary, the reveals weren't as "big" as I though they might be this time. since there was quite a gap since the last one I was a bit hopeful but I guess even GW employees need to take end of the year holidays and sit on their hands. (not bitter that I only got around 7 days)
Their loss anyway, I was ready with my credit card to pre-order two box sets of new BFG but I'll probably just be picking up that titan eventually.

I should just be grateful that they're giving me more time to get through my horrendous backlog instead of just wanting to buy more stuff.

Well, as expected I'm disappointed yet again, but on the other hand the new minis look aces.
Not sold on any of the Lumineth minis including the new one. I do like the new vampires, they are very nice sculpts. The WHQ: It's Not Mordheim, But Close set sounds cool. The Witch Hunter and Grave Digger minis look awesome. If the rest of the set looks as nice as those...

I'm not sure it's GW's fault they didn't announce something that the "fans" made up out of nothing. :)

New endless spells for my Daughters of Khaine, finally! No fancy terrain kit, though.

Really liking the look of Warhammer Quest: Cursed City*. I wonder if the heroes and monsters will be backwards compatible with Silver Tower and Shadows Over Hammerhal? From the video, I'd guess that the heroes are that witch hunter, a Kurnothi, some sort of Duardin and the big beefy guy; an Ogor? And there's a rose on one of the weird undead minions, so a connection to Lady Olynder, the Briar Queen and the Nighthaunt. The guy on the throne - the main villain? - is interesting. A human by the looks of things, with a wolfskin cloak. Not obviously like the existing undead look, and flanked by that undead gravedigger and a ... female vampire?

*Doesn't really say "Mordheim" to me. A "cursed city" full of undead is more reminiscent of Mousillon, if I had to link it back to the World That Was.

Cursed City’s whole art aesthetic (and the witch hunter dude) just screams Darkest Dungeon to me, although there may be some cognitive bleed-in from the Crimson Court as karantu noticed in the Underworlds thread. Really the only thing in the stream that didn’t interest me at all was Kill Team, which really feels more like a way to release some new models than a new direction for the game.

But yeah, titan. My titan shelf is already full but I’m sure I can work something out.

I anticipated new WHQ because I'm assuming there will always be exactly one current WHQ, and BSF has been done long enough for me to actually finish it. I'm guessing it will keep the dice assignment for actions, inspiration etc. I'd like to see more character abilities and less gear emphasis than BSF but I think assuming it's an iteration of WHQ rather than a big change is the way to go.

I'm going to buy nearly everything announced. I won't get the AoS stuff, but that fox spirit is awesome and a competitive DoK battletome would be very dangerous. I don't need another game/army, I don't need another all girls all the time team, and I don't want to spend dozens of hours painting bikini murder elves. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't think they were cool, and I have an Underworlds team's worth of sunk cost.

Oh the Kill Team box doesn't look like it'll save Kill Team. I guess it will create at least some new KT players by having a timed exclusive on some extremely high demand minis?

Arena is actually a pretty good mode for KT so if you wanted to play it you could probably do so economically by either reselling the minis or ebaying the game parts from Heavy Intercessor speculators.

I didn’t watch this, so I’m a bit befuddled. What is the whq stuff? Is it an add on for people already invested in the game? Or what? I wasn’t even really aware that whq was a thing these days. I’m geeenerally up to date with GW stuff, but I must’ve missed the whq thing?
current (2019) hobby interests

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

It's a new boxed game. Players control a bunch of hunters to explore a city run by vampires seems to be the basic premise.
