Bring Out the Big Guns
Sounds like the perfect excuse to work on my Imperial Guard.

A bit too early for a cheeky Castigator(the SoB tank not the Imperial Knight) though.
Do you remember back when we played Unpainted SIsters vs Somewhat Painted Tau and I had 3 Exorcists? 😓

I've started in on a Repulsor first though, we'll just see if more Wolf guns or more Sisters mobile churches of mass destruction are over the line by the 18th.

Thanks for voting. You're welcome to paint anything you'd like, with or without a gun but if you have something in mind go for it!

And done.

May I present 'Mr. Big Guns' himself, Lufgt Huron.

For those of you wondering what I'm talking about, there is an old 40K quote that first appeared in the 3rd edition rulebook (I believe):

"Though my sentries may sleep and my ships may rest at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire." - Lufgt Huron, Master of the Astral Claws chapter, the Tyrant of Badab.

For the members of NagoyaHammer who have been around for a while, you may remember seeing the the ol' Tyrant before. I have repainted him for this gauntlet, though I left the face alone as I thought it looked ok. You can (kinda, the pictures are very small) see his old dark grey paint job over here. I'll be leaving my existing Tyrant's Legion troops in their current colours, but I may do some Astral Claws in the proper Silver and Blue colour scheme at some point in the future.
I also tried using some weathering pigments on his lower legs, heavy flamer and his back. Probably not a good idea to experiment with new stuff on a character model, but too late now.

Looks good on the lower legs. You could try a touch on the bottom of the knee plates. Would set off the blue nicely and make a more natural graduation.
On the Flamer, it just looks too heavy and dirty, like an uncleaned barbecue grill. I think if you just wipe most of it off and wash it black again, it will look better. Could be contrast from the photo, so might be just fine as it is!
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

Using Huron for the theme is perfect. 👏

That was fast. I haven't even posted last round's results yet.

Anyway from now on I'm going to only post the top 3 results here and post a link to where you can see the breakdown of all the votes if you're curious.
The top 3 for round 3 are:

1st - Jus' Imperial Nobility - 28pts
2nd - Karantu's Tau Crisis Battlesuits - 13pts
3rd - Matt's Evil Sunz Nobz - 12pts

Congrats to Jus for the overwhelming victory with his Nobles. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with for next month.

I'd have next months entry posted by now if I knew what it was supposed to be.
