Interestingly (perhaps), id been waiting until there were 3 warbands to buy, so’s I could get them all at once and thereby save on intl shipping, but there’s a weird lack of Khagra’s Ravagers on eBay. Like, there’s only 1 or 2 available (aside from people pimping their paint-on-demand services.) Does anybody know why this might be? I see the Starbloods in various places, but Khagra seems to have dropped off the map a bit.
Might just be the models being very popular and there's not much loose stock. They're not really super meta so it might just be people loving the models.

... and a new card pack, which sounds like it may have some new universals, are all coming out for Underworlds this week
🤨

New card pack, you say? Whatsat then?
Little is known! The packaging and ad copy suggests it's an expansion card pack to go alongside the new (universal-less) starter set with the polearm ghosts and bow stormcast, and the article says it does include new cards, although articles have been wrong before. My personal guess is that the bulk of it might be standby universals that weren't in the Direchasm starter, like Great <foo>, Hold Objective <n> and so on, but really we know nothing at all.

according to John "canyourollacrit" Wynne Rees and Aman Singh Kusro there are no new cards in the pack. When asked how they know this, the response was (from both) "I have a preview pack". So, aye - despite what GW says, no new cards in the pack. Personally, I dont have cards from Shadespire, but it may not be worth my money for whatever SS cards are in it.

Ahh that's good then in that case! I trust John Rees definitely. If I'm right and the new Starter Set is supposed to be "evergreen," and if this card pack is supposed to support that (two big ifs, to be fair), I'd be surprised if it contained any cards that have ever been banned or restricted (although you never know - they make some odd decisions with card packs sometimes). Hearing no new cards feeds in to my prediction that it's going to be focusing on what were the old standby universals before Direchasm, plus maybe some milquetoast universals that were never banned or restricted, and would also explain their absence in DC - much as I think not bringing back "seemed like a good idea in Shadespire" cards like Hold Objective <n> in particular is a good idea.

Articles getting stuff wrong happens pretty often these days - what with the release firehose it's hardly surprising. That and "a guy at my local GW said <something that's obviously wrong>" are persistent bugaboos.

Some new witch-hunter types coming for AoS.

I like both of these, nice poses and well sculpted faces by the looks of things. Between these and the new vampires, there are a lot of tempting new figures for AoS in the pipeline.

‘s getting to be funny now - the DarkAgeofSigmar folks were initially super hyped by the current direction of GW sculpts, but it’s reached the point where the reaction from some folks is “awww, I don’t even need to convert that. But mah bitz...

For my part, I like em a lot. They’re not really my thing - I’d always rather be the witches than the witch hunters, but as sculpts they’re characterful and have some nice textures. A very worthy addition to the range.

I'll gush about this here - reviews of the new Underworlds starter set and card pack are coming out, and it sounds like it's going to be very good for the game. "Interested in Underworlds? Get this box, then if you enjoy that, get this card pack." The warbands are solid and interesting, the universals in the card pack are thoughtfully picked out to be useful to lots of playstyles but with nothing particularly overpowering, and nothing in the two purchases will ever be cycled out and become unusable. I love Underworlds (news flash!) but it's become a bit convoluted for people outside of the game, especially with the introduction of cycling out cards, and a simple, clear entry point should, knock on wood, help out a lot.

(Which means, for anyone local who's "underworlds curious," now is a great time to look into the game!)

Hmm!

It says something about 40K / SoB minis design that "lady in ornate power armor with a shield and power halberd" can come across as restrained, but here we are.

It says something about 40k minis that you could take the backpack off her and use her quite happily in AoS...
