Thats one of the reasons why I prefer mats and terrain sets over actualy tables. They are far easier to store away.
Just in case anyone didnt know, I have a modular terrain board (12x 18inch squares) going for free if anyone wants it due to a severe lack of storage space.
Mats work very well... I am going to be getting a new house soon with less over all space but the GAMING TABLE SPACE iz gona be Bigga... I am talking APOC Potential... I may be abel to cram to full-sized tables in the room and put one out on the deck.

Here is a gallery of my own terrain sets, all of which you can see up close and play on if you come to a NagoyaHammer event.

Most of my terrain was made from one of the following
GW terrain sets
Foam Card
Styrofoam (as MiJ says, it is better than Polystyrene by a long way)

Each table fits into one box each with a few exceptions. The large mountain and the volcano are both in plastic bags and the Landing Pad and one of the Cities of Death buildings need their own boxes since they are very wide. So for 8 tables I have 10 boxes and 2 bags.

In the cupboard

. Its not like I have some kind of magical box storage device or extra-dimensional chamber or anything.

Wish I did though.

I really liked this article.. enough to almost buy some GW plastic GEAR for my new game table... I kind of want a real city of death table.. not just a standard 25% terrain board... more like 75% terrain... how much plastic cocaine would it be to cover a 5X5 table. with 75% buildings... with out cutting it with too much plastic card...
