At the end of the day, when all the fighting was done and the smoke had cleared, Mike the Pike was standing astride the fallen corpses of Orcs, Elves and er....corpses, triumphantly clutching his prize for first place.

Maeda-san's Dwarves took the prize for best painted army and Ash proved that nice guys may finish last, but they get a prize for doing so.

Thanks to everyone for playing. I hope you all had a good time.

Commiserations to Count Badruckula for suffering the worst luck in his first game where the 'Bride of Badruckula' spectacularly exploded in the first turn taking out most of the Grave Guard as well. Luckily Pikey was on hand to make sure the Count was put out of his misery asap.

Thanks to Nick for leading my High Elves to a Doo...marvelous triumph. Next time, magic swords will be his first order of business I think. :D

Those of you who dropped out or couldn't make it you missed a good day of fun gaming.
Please come along next time if you are free.
8th edition is an improvement. I love the way armies that don't even use magic can have a chance of dispelling more things now. It's more dangerous to use now. The magic phase used to be boring for the player getting his assed kicked by spells but now there is a chance that the spellcaster will come a cropper, sadly as my goblin shamen and Badruckula found out.

It was a brilliant event. Thanks for putting it on and to all who attended.

Mordheim on the 14th in Tsu if anyone can join please come along if you can.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Thanks to all!

Boy I didn't realise how much I missed playing. Only 17 years out of the game!

Great time, both winning and losing! Thanks to all my teachers and yes I did learn the need for a magic sword or two ;) No better way to learn that fact! ;) My hats off to Jus for hanging in there with me until the Mage carked it!

Best moment? My unit of ten archers holding a tower all the game! Wine and women a plenty for you!

Congratulations to Mike! And boy that sorceress of yours was well painted ;)

Hope to see you all soon. I need some practice :D
