Hello,

My name is Sebastian, from Sweden and currently living in Nagoya. I was playing some Dawn of War on the computer and I got a flashback of playing warhammer 40k when I was about 11 or 12. At the time I got my hands on an Ork army and it was me my friend and his older brother that played together, some good memories.

Anyway I am now slowly starting to open myself towards this kind of hobby now again, I was looking around on the net for information about 40k and came across Nagoya Hammer. It is really nice to see that 40k also exists here in Japan. As I said I am thinking of getting back in the game, but I haven't got anything, only a lot of questions that I will try to ask in the right threads on this forum. I am thinking of playing Space Marines and I want to make my own chapter, but I have not decided fully on any race yet.

So nice to meet you all and よろしく!

Welcome to the site Sebastian.
Its always nice to have a new player in town (I'm also in Nagoya).
There is a gaming group that meets on the last sunday of each month in Kamimaezu, so come along and we can chat face to face sometime.
You can find the details here:

The next meeting is on Sunday 28th, I'll be there all day. Just look for the tallest guy in the room, thats me.

Regards,
Stuart

Welcome to Nagoya and Nagoyahammer. There are enough guys around that you can get in a game of 40K, most any weekend. Making your own Chapter looks like fun. And new color of Space Marine helmet would look nice on my banner poles. Or if you have not really made up your mind about which army to take.....Orks are the best you know........
Check the Games/Groupfinder board and you'll see there is a game day in Tsu this Sunday. Mostly Mordhiem, but it looks like other stuff will be going on. If you're free, come down and meet the guys.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

howdy Seb - welcome to the boards and welcome to gaming in Nagoya in general :D

As people have already mentioned, finding someone to play at 40k wont be a problem. Incidentally, you wont find many of them on the boards, but there are also a few Japanese gamers who play 40k in Nagoya too.

I'm down in Tsu (in Mie) but I try to make it up to Nagoya once a month or so, and I plan to be there for the games day on Sunday the 28th this month - if you can make to Joshin Kids Land in Kamimaezu I will see you there. Or, as people have mentioned, there is a game event in Tsu this sunday (the 14th), and a few people are coming down from the Nagoya area. If you want to come, you should send a PM to Primarch and he'll let you know about what trains to get and so on.

I just made a massive post in your "design a chapter" thingy. Feel free to read it, or ignore it and read the short version i put underneath it. Either way, good luck with the chapter building, and welcome again to NagHammer :D

Thank you all for the warm greetings!

I will try to make it to the monthly game in Kamimaezu if my schedule allows it (I will prioritise). I read that many members of this forum seems to have a wife and maybe kids here in Japan which glads me, I am also a married man and will not be able to prioritse gaming everytime, just looking for some cool guys to hang with when I have that time off.

As for Kamimaezu I will only be able to bring my interest since it will take some time for me to get what I need to play, you need an HQ and at least 2 squads right? No doubt it will be fun to meet you all in person though.

Hi there Seb

Just bring what you can mate. If you can only manage a small game (500pts and under), I am sure somebody will be happy to play against you.

Hejsan Seb

Själv så flyttar till Nagoya sista Januari min fru flyttade för 2 veckor sedan.

A lot of my miniatures are now floating on a boat to Japan. For the insurance I needed to value them, the sum came as a shock to my wife.

I think if any of our wives and girlfriends knew how much we all spent on our 'toys' they would probably be pretty shocked, especially Prim :D
Mind you I have saved a lot of money in recent years, not getting haircuts

Hej Frans!

Trevligt att veta att här finns fler svenskar!

Quite surprised to meet more swedish people in here since there are not so many of us in Nagoya, on top of that, warhammer players.
I am going to try to keep it in English though (or Japanese).
