Vassal Still Alive and Well?

Post by dyllybones » Mon Nov 22, 2010 1:14 am

Hey folks!
Just joined the NagoyaHammer forums because I am starting a Space Wolves army, but my wargaming basis lies in Warmachine, and I regret the fact that I couldn't bring my models overseas.
I played Cygnar, but upon buying the Forces: Mercs book, have been putting together countless Highborn lists that I am afraid will never see the light of day unless someone plays me on Vassal.
However, since the time difference is so great between my home (Kentucky) and here, I figure it would be difficult to find a western player who was awake for a game.

Which is to say... if any of you fine folks are down for a game, I'd love to get one in. Well, as soon as my internet gets hooked up in this inaka dump I live in. It could be a while.
Consider this my challenge, though.
Vassal name: dyllybones
Warmachine/Hordes: Cygnar and Mercs (No models in Japan)
Warhammer 40K: Starting Space Wolves (Custom chapter "Wendigo Descendants")

vassal never really took off with the masses here unfortunately. It was barely alive for a while back, there being 2 players. Matt and myself. When matt went left for home, the vassal scene died, but thats not to say we can't resurrect it again!

my vassal name:.....its been so long I can't remember.

will get back to you when I get back from work.

can't do that legally, the warmachines vassal component is created by and endorsed by privateer press and they encourage vassal games. GW considers it copyright infringement and has the fan made 40 vassal component was discontinued, unfortunately.

this friday I'm playing Chthulu, but maybe next week, assuming my piratey copy of the game lets me online. If not, I would consider buying it, if there was a multiplayer game in the offing...

I'm a little under the weather, but I'm itching to try a Constance Blaize and/or gatorman list so I'm hoping to get some vassal game going this weekend! Is anyone available?
