it may just be the photo, but it looks rather flat/dark. Some more highlights on the blue, particularly, would do it the world of good. Otherwise, fine and dandy.

incidentally: I have a new painting target, vis a vis Winter Blitz:

1) Finish my Bile Thralls and Scrap Thralls by Monday night.

2) Build and paint (by Winter Blitz):
A warcaster
3 solos
A heavy warjack
A light warjack
3 Cavalry models

Can it be done? watch this space...

another boring non-picture update from MiJ...

spent most of today sticking together Cryx models. I means seriously - 5 hours of drilling, filing and gluing (I had a day off today.)

I'd like to take this oportunity to spit on the name of whichever bastich designed Mortenebra, particularly Mortenebra's arms. All 4 of em. Seriously - how in god's green earth is a man supposed to attach those things to her body? theyre tiny! I had to go out and buy a special teeny tiny drill bit (0.5mm) and wire to pin em with! And theyre gonna snap off, thats patently clear. I give em a week, tops. (and thats a week in which theyll be flown to scotland, so its downright inevitable.)
Im also not best pleased with whoever did the Soul Hunters, either. Take a horse. stand it on one leg. now add a centaur body to it. Attach arms in as sticky out a manner as possible. Now attempt to transport 3 of said miniatures without something snapping off.

Gngngngn. I give in. Plastic is better than metal...

Some more work in progress shots. The eyes on all these models need doing, and their purity seals need a wash. After that I will use some weathering powders on them as well.

@Prim
Now that guy looks like a right and proper Space Knight. The colors make the shield look like it's made of pure cast-iron and weigh about 200 lbs. Nice start.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

Privateer's ambitions sculpts do have a downside from time to time. About 95% of the time, their models are awesome, dynamic and characterful. The rest of the time they don't go together without blood, sweat and tears.

Like, why does this model have to be 4 pieces? It's a skinny 30mm dragon chick!

That model looks bleedin' awful. Static pose, plain expression, silly head gear.
I am disappointed.

Oh, and it comes in multiple small pieces.
I rate that as a fail.

@Konrad - Cheers. It'll look even better after I use some weathering powder to grim-dark it up.

Unfortunately, it's really awesome in-game, heh.
